On Wednesday September 5th, Nokia plans to reveal its latest
Lumia 920 smartphone at a special event with Microsoft
in New York. According to
The Verge, the Lumia 920 is going to be Nokia’s flagship
Windows phone that will include some truly impressive specifications and functionality. A 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 32GB
flash drive and a 4.5-inch HD display will make its way into the Lumia 920. But one of the most intriguing aspects to Nokia’s Windows phone superstar is that it will include
wireless charging.
Lumia 920 wireless
charging support will be provided via an inductive method — lining the
device up to the contacts on a charging pad. We’re told it will support
the Qi wireless power standard — making it compatible with other wireless charging products.
In case wireless charging
was not enough to impress you the Lumia 920 will feature a PureView
camera. Unfortunately this will not be the massive 41-megapixel camera
found on the company’s 808 PureView
smartphone, but it will be a
respectable 8-megapixel one.
For those of you who are looking to purchase
Nokia‘s upcoming Windows
phone you can expect the device to be announced on Wednesday for
AT&T customers initially. As for the actual launch date of the Lumia
920, you are looking at a late October or early November release.
